Meet the founder of Forest Floor Yoga, Gena
RYT 200 Hour Trauma Informed, RCYT 95 Hour Kids Yoga, SUP Yoga certified, currently enrolled in 300-hour YTT through Yoga Hive as well as two other schools
Gena's yoga journey began two decades ago, and for the past five years, she has been sharing her passion as a yoga teacher. Her infectious enthusiasm and playfulness shine through in her teaching style, which draws inspiration from the boundless beauty of the outdoors.
With a fervor for movement and exploration, Gena finds her greatest joy in discovering new experiences in the embrace of nature. Whether it's pedaling on a bike, gliding on skis, lacing up hiking boots, or balancing on a stand-up paddleboard, she revels in the adventure and connection that the natural world offers.
To Gena, movement is not a chore but a celebration of the incredible capabilities of our bodies. She believes that yoga can be a journey of self-discovery and expression, a journey that should always be adorned with laughter and a spirit of play. Beyond the mat, Gena extends her love for the outdoors to her children, inviting them to join her on countless adventures, nurturing their curiosity, and fostering their connection to the world around them.
Gena is passionate about bringing the benefits of yoga to both kids and adults. She believes that cultivating a yogic mindset is integral to how she lives every day and especially in her parenting experience. She also recognizes the profound impact yoga can have on children, empowering them to navigate life's challenges by fostering introspection and inner resilience.
